Guild is hiring a Learning Designer to design, develop, and implement engaging learning solutions for our student facing teams. We are looking for someone to build scalable, effective learning experiences that enable job performance across the teams we support using an innovative and brand new approach.
You will apply efficient and agile approaches to develop learning solutions using Training & Quality Assurance learning design standards and tools, to meet the learning needs of student facing teams. You will achieve productivity goals and focus on efficiency and effectiveness in delivering timely solutions, ensuring solutions are not redundant with other available resources. With an eye for metrics that matter, you will demonstrate learner and stakeholder feedback, performance data, and business metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions. As a lifelong learner, you will continually focus on personal development and business process improvement to elevate individual skills and learning design standards. The role requires strong project-management skills, agility, and a collaborative approach to finding solutions that drive maximum impact.
As a Learning Designer you will:Design innovative learning experiences that enable job success for our student facing teams.Tailor learning solutions to the desired outcomes and scope of each need (ILT, eLearning, blended learning, self-paced, videos, gamification, and more).Shift to the constantly evolving needs of the business, creating agile solutions that can be easily adjusted as the company evolves.Uphold defined learning design standards and evaluation models to provide a consistent learning experience and accurately measure our impact.Collaborate cross-functionally with partners, designers, and subject matter authorities, ensuring alignment and agreement on all efforts.Drive the increased effectiveness of learning content created in our online learning platforms.Find opportunities and iterate continuously to improve the effectiveness and support of our learning design solutions.Partner across the learning organization to apply innovative techniques to instructional design approaches and results.Focus on developing learning that is continuous, appealing to today’s multi-generational and modern learner.
You are a strong fit for this role if you have:
Required Competencies1 – 3 years' experience in instructional development, adult learning theory, and/or technical writing.Ability to independently design and develop instructionally sound training in a variety of modalities, i.e. eLearning, instructor-led, blended, self-paced, etc.Strong learning content creation skills with a history of success driving measurable results from innovative learning solutions.Broad subject matter expertise in learning design methodologies and adult-learning best practices, including writing and coaching to effective learning objectives.Proven track record to conduct needs analyses, then recommend and gain buy-in on the right solutions for complicated business needs, and follow through to completion.Strong project management and prioritization skills, thriving in a constantly evolving environment.Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate effectively while under pressure - balancing confidence, humility, and diplomacy.Corporate learning experience required.Preferred CompetenciesProficiency with Adobe Captivate, SCORM, and xAPI, and the technical ability to learn new authoring tools.Strong proven understanding of Kirkpatrick’s four levels of training evaluation.A balance of diligent execution and big picture thinking.A learning mentality: A desire to learn, grow, and evolve in a fast-paced environment.Something else? We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $75,000-$93,750 and variable compensation eligibility, as well as company stock options.
