Our aim is for all client-facing employees to consistently and systematically have a valuable conversation with clients and prospects. We’re currently creating programs and resources develop & support our client-facing team members starting with onboarding & continuing throughout their growth and development with the organization.
This role
Alight is looking for a Learning Specialist to join the Enablement & Effectiveness team to create digital learning solutions that drive desired behaviors and outcomes for client facing audiences primarily in sales and pre-sales. This position will work with team members in Enablement & Effectiveness as well as cross-functional subject matter experts to create useful, learner-centric media, resources, and courses. The content created should vary in medium and type and may include video, gamified experience, virtual learning, simulations, resource, and/or eLearning. Following the learning solution creation, the Learning Specialist would partner with Enablement team members to support the content launch ensuring that the content is served up to the right audience in the right technology at the right time based on needs of learners and delivery best practices.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Partner with Enablement & Effectiveness team leaders to conduct business needs analysis
- Gain a working knowledge of the various functional and technical solution areas
- Design & develop learning solutions that support adult learning best practices, address needs identified, drive action & behavior change & improve performance for client-facing audiences
- Follow Alight branding guidelines and standards to ensure content embodies the Alight voice maintaining a consistent, professional look & feel
- Collaborate cross-functionally with people around the world create solutions that impact performance
- Utilize modern eLearning and video authoring tools to rapidly build enjoyable, positive learning experiences that are interactive, effective and technically functional (Articulate Rise, Go Animate, Vyond, etc.)
- Create useful and engaging media, Web-based content (delivered in LMS), workbooks, participant/instructor guides, & resources
- Develop instructionally sound knowledge, skill, and job performance-based activities & assessments
- Meet milestones and final deliverables by deadlines; when delays do occur, work with the team to estimate, monitor, adjust, and proactively communicate revised deadlines as needed
- Partner with internal team members on the program launch ensuring audience needs are addressed
Skills & Competencies
- 3-5 years working experience in instructional design
- 3+ years working experience designing and developing learning content across mediums and content types (video, gamification, virtual learning, live classroom, simulations, & eLearning)
- 3+ years working experience with rapid eLearning authoring tools and video creation (e.g. recent versions of Articulate 360 Suite, Go Animate, Elucidat, Vyond, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
- Knowledge and experience of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and online multimedia authoring tools
- Strong technical writing skills
- Passion for hands-on content development
- Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in simple terms
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models
- Familiarity with current learning and development trends
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport across a wide range of cultures and personalities
- High attention to detail and strong project management skills

As part of a global organization, you will work with functional business leaders at a global level. You will partner with cross-functional support teams including HR, Marketing, Product, Value Engineering, Sales Ops, and IT and be responsible for building strong internal and customer focused relationships within a matrix environment.
