Discovery Education is seeking multiple part-time, contractors to serve as Professional Learning Facilitators. This position is fulfilled through a 3rd party, so please note that the application is through Logiq. Must have 5 years teaching experience and be willing to travel.

- Provide all of his/her own equipment (laptop, cell phone, etc.).
- Possess the knowledge and skills to perform the work for which he/she is applying.
- Partner with Workforce Logiq for timesheet and expense report fulfillment.
- Work remotely with the ability to travel on behalf of Discovery Education from his or her home base.
- Learn functional and educational aspects of the Discovery Education Experience and TechbookTM services (Math, Science, and Social Studies).
- Understand the resources, structure, and content of the Discovery Education products/services.
- Prepare thoroughly for all aspects of professional development deliveries.
- Deliver high quality professional development services that are both dynamic and steeped in adult learning principles.
- Adapt to meet the professional needs of the participants in the sessions being delivered.
- Minimum of 5 years in education in a K-12 setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience in facilitating quality professional learning for educators.
- Ability to travel with required proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Familiarity with educational technology and understanding of instructional practices.
- Strong knowledge of educational and professional development best practices.
- Ability to operate successfully in a virtual environment.
- Additional Qualifications (preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with Discovery Education products.
- ELL and SEL experience.
- Content expertise in World Languages, Math, and/or Science.
- School-based experience with Next Generation Science Standards.
- Deep understanding of Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice.
- Formal Coaching experience.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Always willing to learn something new, not rigid in beliefs or expectations.
- Have a demonstrated ability to understand, accept and engage with people of diverse backgrounds.
- A sense of humor because we all need to laugh sometimes.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
- While the Professional Learning Facilitator will be facilitating with Discovery Education, they will be employees of Workforce Logiq for the duration of their job(s) with Discovery Education.
- This is NOT an internal Discovery Education position.
- The work as a Workforce Logiq employee is part-time.

What You’ll Do
Our Professional Learning Facilitators support K-12 partnerships by delivering professional learning sessions to customers that will result in successful implementation of Discovery Education’s products and services. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering professional learning, deep knowledge of adult learning theory, and an understanding of educational technology. This is a part-time remote position with Workforce Logiq, so the ability to work in a fast-paced, virtual environment is a must.
